Catholic School Tuition Aid (Catholic Schools of Memphis)

The Diocese of Memphis runs one diocesan high school and a group of parish schools as the Catholic Schools of Memphis system; Christian Brothers and St. Agnes-St. Dominic operate privately. Aid is need-based and handled school by school, usually through FACTS.

How do Catholic schools in Memphis handle financial aid?

Catholic schools in Memphis decide need-based aid one school at a time, typically through the FACTS Grant & Aid application. St. Benedict at Auburndale, the diocesan high school in Cordova, lists 2026-27 tuition of $17,880 for its traditional program and $19,025 for its PLUS program for students with learning differences.

St. Benedict offers a $200 discount for each additional sibling and points families to the ESA and EFS on its tuition page, with appointment help in English and Spanish.

Which Memphis Catholic schools take EFS and the ESA?

Our directory holds 10 Catholic records; 9 are signed up for EFS this year and 9 carry ESA approval. The diocese lists St. Paul, St. Ann, St. Louis, Holy Rosary, St. Francis of Assisi and Our Lady of Perpetual Help as parish schools, plus Incarnation Preschool in Collierville.

Each Catholic school page shows its category, EFS status and ESA status together.

What happened to the Jubilee Catholic Schools in Memphis?

The Jubilee Catholic Schools, a network of inner-city schools the diocese reopened starting in 1999 with anonymous donor money, closed in May 2019. Nine of them reopened that fall as charter schools in the same buildings under a network not affiliated with the diocese, America Magazine reported.

The network served about 1,500 students, most of them not Catholic, many paying little or nothing. No Jubilee school operates as a Catholic school today, so the parish schools above are the Catholic options for families who need aid.
